Abstract
:
The topic of this study is focused on two basic axes: spatial distribution of population, changes that came over during the period from 1413 - 1425 H and social and economical factors that affect this distribution. This study aims at identifying creating a demographical conception of this spatial relationship between social and economical factors and the distribution of population in Jeddah. The researcher has relied on the descriptive method in this study. She also depended on the statistical analysis method in processing data of this study represented in descriptive statistical method and deductive statistical method through the use of a lot of statistical methods and techniques such as Chi-Square and Eita Coefficient. To perform this purpose, the researcher depended on a lot of important statistical analysis software of this study data such as SPSS and ARCGIS (Arc View ver. 9.3) for drawing and preparing maps of this study topic. Study results have shown that There is a clear difference in the distribution of population in the residential districts of Jeddah where it was obvious out of this study results that there are three basic spatial types of population distribution in 1425 H: highly-populated districts, moderately-populated districts, Low-populated districts. and It was shown out of this study results that the monthly income of a family man is considered one of the most effective factors in the distribution of population in the residential districts of Jeddah. This is clear in the strength of its effect on all variables represented in the standard of the residential district, type of house, its ownership, the suitability of this house to the family size and the priority of living in another district. This study has recommended the encouragement of reverse immigration from Jeddah to the neighboring towns via the improvement of social, economic and living levels there through creating job opportunities and providing all heath, entertainment and education services such as setting up hospitals, universities and specialized colleges.
