Abstract
:
This study aims to identify the impact of education sector variants on human resources development in the Sultanate of Oman, determine the most important of such variants, and illustrated the importance of the human resources development in the light of knowledge economy and to what extent the health and education sectors along with economy upgrade the efficiency of individuals in the society. It also clarified the challenges and difficulties that encounters human resources development in the Sultanate and gives answers to the study questions. The researcher sought to measure the impact of education sector variants on human resources development in the Sultanate. The results showed that some variants have positive impacts, while others have negative impacts. To obtain valid results, the researcher collected the data from publications and statistics of governmental regional and international entities. The collected data are related to the past twenty two years. The study concluded with a set of results and recommendations, the most important of which are as follows: - There are variants affecting the human resources development in the Sultanate of Oman, which are the number of governmental schools, and the number of teachers in the public schools . Recommendations: - To work on increasing the investment expenditure to expand the modern and technological education, linking the post-basic, university and technological education in addition to training with the Omani job market to find a solution for the issue of job seekers. - To provide integral scientific and practical environments to prepare a generation that is able to meet the changing needs of the job markets in Oman and in the Gulf in general. - To set up the training centers in all the establishments affiliated to the governorates of the Sultanate, and qualify trainers and training specialists to conduct on-the-job training for the employees in line with the modern technology. - To promote the birth control programs to maintain the population in accordance with the available income and resources
