Abstract
:
This study aimed to identify the level of the job alienation phenomenon found in Passport Department Employees in Jeddah, by considering the dimensions of job alienation, the causes leading to this phenomenon, identifying the potential impacts of the job alienation existence and determining the methods and approaches contributing to solve the negative impacts of this phenomenon. The researcher used the descriptive approach to carry out this study. He also used a questionnaire to collect data from the population of the study. Of (350) survey, (202) questionnaires were accepted for purposes of statistical analysis. The results of the statistical analysis indicate that the level of job alienation are moderate. The most important resources causing this phenomenon are: limited opportunities for promotion and progress at work, work hours are not suitable with my private circumstances, rewards and circumstances are not subjected to fair and fixed standards, and workers follow undesirable routine procedures. Based on the results of this study, the researcher suggests some recommendations. The most important recommendations are: increase the opportunities of promotion for employees and preparing programs and plans to promote and develop the work, find hours commensurate with the non-commissioned working officers and not inconsistent with their private circumstances and their break time and their freedom, consider the employees’ desires in choosing their appropriate vacation time, pay attention to the principle of specialization in the area of work and distribute the work among employees in accordance with their specialization.
