Abstract
:
Objectives : Study 1-To know the relationship between the future anxiety and life orientation in a sample of female prisoners in Jeddah. 2 - To know the differences in future anxiety and life orientation of female prisoners according to age, marital status and educational level, nationality and type of crime. Methodology: descriptive and comparative method . Study sample: The sample consisted of (150) female prisoners in Buraiman prison in Jeddah . Study Tools: 1- A measure of Future Anxiety the preparation of / Zeinab Choucair (2005 ). 2- life orientation scale preparation / Scheier and Carver (1985), standardization of / Ansari (2002) Statistical methods: The following methods are used pearson correlation coefficient , T test for independent samples, analysis of variance ( One way Anova ). :Results of the study 1-There is a statistically significant negative relationship between future anxiety and orientation of life in female prisoners in Breman prison , Jeddah.. 2- There are statistically significant differences in future anxiety for the female prisoners due to the variables age and educational level, while there are no statistically significant differences in future anxiety for the female prisoners due to the variables: marital status, nationality, and type of crime. 3-There are statistically significant differences in the orientation of life of the female prisoners due to age while there are no statistically significant differences in the orientation of life of the prisoners due to variables : marital status, educational level, nationality and type of crime.
