Abstract
:
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic adjustment in the study sample, as well as knowledge of the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic achievement among members of the sample, and see the differences between the average scores of student achievement higher and low emotional intelligence, and knowledge of the differences between higher and low emotional intelligence in academic adjustment. The researcher used in this study descriptive approach Relational because of its relevance to the nature of the study and its objectives, and the researcher conducting the study on a sample of 200 students from students Taif University for the academic year (1433 e 1434 e) The researcher used a measure of emotional intelligence preparation: Osman and Rizg (1998) and scale academic adjustment preparation: Abdullmoati (2009). To verify the hypothesis, the researcher used the averages and standard deviations and test "T" to indicate statistical and Pearson correlation coefficients. And through the study shows a correlation statistically significant correlation between the scores of the study sample in emotional intelligence and grades in the academic adjustment. And also there is a relationship statistically significant correlation between the scores of the study sample in academic achievement and emotional intelligence. There are significant differences between the average scores of students with high emotional intelligence and average scores of students with low emotional intelligence in the collection were the differences for the benefit of students with high emotional intelligence. There are statistically significant differences due to the variable of emotional intelligence in the academic adjustment.
