Abstract
:
This study aimed to identify the impact of the application of the environmental management accounting on supporting the strategical decisions in Saudi industrial facilities. In addition to realize how to support strategical decisions through the application of the environmental management accounting in Saudi industrial facilities as well. After that, it has been clarified the relationship between the application of the of the environmental management accounting and the process of supporting the strategical decisions in Saudi industrial facilities (study sample). In order to achieve the purpose of the theoretical study, a field study has been done. In which a questionnaire was distributed to 100 Saudi industrial facilities. All of which have been analyzed by using (SPSS) program. The study reaches to number of findings. Most importantly is that all facilities, which have been studied, apply the environmental management accounting to control the environmental costs. They also apply it to use the information, whether financial or non-financial, that the facilities itself provides when making strategical decisions, which are characterized as important and long term decisions that related to the future of the facility as a whole. Also, those important decisions can be described by their ability to affect the less important ones as the short or average term operational and administrative decisions.
