Abstract
:
The study aimed to identify the role of Balanced Scorecard in evaluating the Saudi charity organizations' performance, and whether administrations of the Saudi charity organization realize the significance of the scorecard, and what are the benefits achieved from applying the scorecard, and the difficulties facing the charity organizations upon implementation. The research problem revolves around the performance of charity organization and their ability to set long term strategy and specific, clear and evaluable goals. Since many organizations and charity organizations among them are suffering of setting future goals and plans but most of those goals are neglected and not achieved with absence of comprehensive system for performance evaluation. In order to achieve the study objectives and collect the required data, the researcher has prepared a survey list designed through reviewing the related literature studies; verify their reliability through presenting them to group of specialists and then it has been sent to the Saudi charity organizations' employees at Jeddah and Mecca. The study has concluded a number of results of which the most significant are: the balanced scorecard is one of the modern methods used in the performance evaluation process at organizations of all sectors and the charity organizations as well, upon adopting them they work on motivating the higher management to set and activate strategic plan and take wise decisions, applying the scorecard will benefit the society's resources and there are difficulties that facing the charity organizations to implement the scorecard. The study has recommended to urge the persons in charge of the charity organizations to implement the modern methods of performance evaluation and the balanced score card is one of these methods, caring about setting comprehensive strategical plan, specific and clear goals and urge the workers of all sectors to participate and contribute in success achievement and to care about the customers and charity organizations' employees elements that will be positively reflected on the performance. And to set an integrated plan for training and getting ready to implement the balanced scorecard, along with taking care of creating an incentives system that generate competition spirit between employees and achieve the job satisfaction and assist the charity organizations to achieve their goals
